Mette Hvied Lauesen

Stress calls for help

My name is Mette Hvied Lauesen, and as a stress coach specialising in supporting leaders - and people - like you, I know and understand the challenges you face. And yes, I've been there myself.

Because it's hard to make sense of situations and issues as a stressed-out person, it can also be difficult to find the right help.

You deserve to be the best version of yourself as a leader and as a person, and that starts with taking control of your stress.

"I just need to get through the next week / pull myself together / take a holiday / get some sleep for the next few nights" or whatever you tell yourself.

The fact is, you CAN get out of stress without help. It just takes a long time and you don't have the tools to do it. Do you want to feel this way for longer than necessary?

Do you have the time to experiment for yourself?

How do I know if it's working

The programme is thoroughly tested and based on the scientifically proven method from COPESTRESS - a research project you can read more about here.

The method has been used for about 20 years with great results.

How does it work?

In a no-obligation introductory conversation, we'll start by talking about you and how you're feeling.

If we'll be working together, I'll send you suggestions for meeting days and times.

Once we've finalised them, we'll get started. I'll start by sending you instructions on how to get hold of the book that you'll need for the programme.

The first four sessions will take place about a week apart. The next counselling sessions will be longer apart.

Along the way, you will be given homework, assignments and new habits to work on. It's important to both of us that you spend the necessary time and commit to the programme. This gives the best results.

The counselling sessions can take place in person at my office in Ballerup, online via Zoom (so you need either a tablet, iPad or a computer with a camera) or a combination of the two.

Each conversation takes about an hour. Some a little less - some a little more.

Can I go to work during the programme?

Yes, if you're not on sick leave and you're going to work, you'll just keep doing it. Throughout the programme, you will learn methods and techniques that will make it easier for you to be at work.

How long does it take?

The stress programme itself takes 7-8 meetings over 3-4 months. In addition, I have regular coaching sessions with customers to make sure they keep the good habits.

The individual meetings take about an hour - more or less.

How much is it?

The complete programme - including materials and up to 9 sessions (if necessary) costs DKK 9,000 incl. VAT or 1200 Euros. And yes, you can pay in instalments.

What does it require of me?

You'll need to read and do the things we agree on along the way. It's all good for you.

I'm on sick leave - can I get started?

You can start at any time. The whole programme is about helping you get back to your life the way you like it. If you're not on sick leave, you're also very welcome.

I'm not sure if I'm stressed - then what?

Then we'll have a chat about how you're feeling. Maybe something else is bothering you - we'll find out. In any case:

  • We ALWAYS have an initial chat first
  • The programme is also preventative, so you'll definitely get something out of it, even if you're not sick yet - but maybe "just" on the way to it.

6 tips to prevent stress

3. Take your sleep seriously and get enough and good sleep
4. Focus on the good things you actually achieve
5. Look after yourself first - others later
6. Make sure you are also having fun
